Help on solar panels please!

the company who supplied our solar panels- saint solar is now longer in business. the solar panels which we purchased are not making as much money or reducing our electricity costs each month as the company stated that they would. we are still paying off the panels!!
i'm not sure where to go to with this. i wanted to contact the company and ask them to come and check the panels and ensure they are all ok, however i can't as they have cased trading!
has anyone had experience with this, or saint solar specifically. i really don't know where to turn to any advice would be much appreciated.

There are many reputable solar installers out there that would look at your system but I suspect that they would raise a charge for doing so. Before you call in the cavalry, it might be helpful if you provided us with some detail. What size of PV array do you have; what is the location and orientation of the array, and is there any shading? Why do you think that you have been misled? If you can demonstrate that you have, and there is loan involved, you might have some comeback against your lender.

For example, a 4kW array will in normal circumstances produce about 3600kWhs/year. As you know, the monthly production isn’t linear: that is, you get more output in the months March to September than from October to February.

Most homeowners will utilise somewhere between 25 to 50% of the energy that their array produces. There is only so much washing; cleaning that can be done when the sun shines.

There is probably nothing wrong with the panels, the issue is you believed a salesman on big commissions.
