Mag Dailies

Options
Does anyone do these daily on multiple sites? i enter them once as they pop up otherwise my comping day would be taken up spending all my time on them. Also they never announce winners so I wonder if it is even worth doing them? They are so monotonous to keep filling in...is there an easier way?

I only ever enter them once and I've won a few time - Beewraps, Nairn's Hamper, Lex Go Games, Uni Ball Bundle, Motif Voucher. Think they are worth entering.
    Wins in 2023 - 35
    Wins in 2022 - 43
    Wins in 2021 - 62
    Wins in 2020 - 68
    Wins in 2019 - 5

It actually doesn't take too long to do them daily, if you don't do too many of them. I save the ones I want to do, with the answers and links, in my 'comping document'. Then once a day I work through them. It usually takes me 5 - 20 mins, depending how many I'm trying for.

Hope you win something fab to spur you on.

Mags dailies winners are always listed on the magazine site, just click on where it says winners.
Ive won lots of good prizes from them over the years, but they do take time to enter regularly.

I was thinking, just in case it's helpful, that I might share my 'technique' for doing the mag dailies, as I whizz through them.

So, as I said above, I save the links to each one I want to enter in my comping document, under the magazine name as headings. I also add the answers to any that aren't obvious.

I used to plod through them one at a time: entering, waiting for the 'congratulations' and then moving on to the next one. But now, I don't wait for them to complete before moving to the next one. Like this:

I log on with the first magazine and quickly enter all those for that magazine, without waiting for each one to complete. Then I click to log in to  the next magazine, and while it is processing, I nip back to the ones I entered, which have nearly always completed then, and close them. Then I work my way through my list in the same way, entering, entering, entering...and then closing closing, closing. So I am hardly waiting at all for my lap top to process anything. It means I can cover quite a lot of them in a fairly short time.

I have got so used to doing them, that I don't need to concentrate on entering them. In fact, I usually do them while I'm on the phone to someone, or watching TV, etc.

I am fairly sure that I have won quite a few of them in the past, but I don't remember most my old wins these days, other than a few I saved in a document.

Thank you or that but I must be very thick, as I have read and reread this a few times and I cannot work out what you mean.

How do you enter one before the other is processed ? I cant load another till the comp is fully complete.

Unless you mean you open lots of different mags in different tabs then jump between them which is what I do, but it still takes a long time.

pinkfairy, you are definitely not being thick. It's probably easier to do than to explain, but I'll try. So, as Jambo posts these comps on the main board, I copy the links for the ones I want to enter onto my 'comping document', it's an ordinary Word document, with the answers, where I think I won't remember them. I'll paste a sample...

    Woman’s Own

    More than 150

    https://comps.womansownmagazine.co.uk/competition/Tapicarpetsandfloorsnetwork_network.php

    Woman's Weekly

    More than 150

    https://competitions.womansweekly.com/competition/Tapicarpetsandfloorsnetwork_network.php

    https://competitions.womansweekly.com/competition/LifeCoachingSecondBrainPsychologynetwork.php

So, for this sample, I would click on the first link for Woman's Own and log in there. Once I'm logged in, I would click the right answer and click to enter. But then, instead of waiting to get "Congratulations for entering", I go back to my list and click on the second link for Woman's Own. It will open that comp in another tab. I then enter that comp. Then I immediately go back to my document again and click the first link under Womans Weekly and log in there. Then, instead of waiting for it to log me in, I go back to the first tab, which will now be showing "Congratulations..." so I close that, then close the second comp. By then, the log in for Women's Weekly will have finished, so I can start entering comps there.

The main point is that I don't wait for any of my clicks to process before I click on the next link, other than the very first one to log in to the first magazine. It means that while my laptop is processing all my clicks, I am already clicking on the next one. So from start to finish, I'm never waiting for anything to load, I just keep clicking to enter, and popping back to shut down the pages that are done with, when they're showing 'Congratulations'. Sorry if that's still as clear as mud. If anyone else gets what I'm saying and can explain it more simply, please do.

  • Thank you Blulu
I am going to try and let that process then see if I can work it out by actually doing it tomorrow as I have entered the ones I want  for today.  Thank you again for taking time to explain it.
