Hope she has photos.KandQ said:Thank you everyone for your advice and comments. Which I have passed on to my wife.
He’s not admitting it but it now seems another nurse has come forward as her red car has been damaged on the door.
on closer inspection low and behold there is also red paint on the bosses car as well. They are now both demanding a meeting with him.
My wife did say that the other nurses are considering giving the boss a forced enema to get the confession.Made me laugh bless them1 -
Well at least he owned up, I guess that's something? Or were there witnesses? (In which case, that's good, no?)
It could have been a case where someone bashes into the car and just drives off, as often happens in car parks.
I agree with those who say just use your insurance for a 'the other driver' fault accident, and in this case, the name of the other driver is known, whether or not he wants to admit it. Sometimes there's no fault and no-one to blame as they've scarpered.
What a lovely boss.
I'd not demand any meeting with him, just get on with the claim. He's obviously not going to pay any attention, even if he is forced into a meeting. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. If the OP can't get satisfaction any other way they might want to consider purchasing an old banger and 'accidentally' reversing that into the managers car - several times. Not a serious suggestion - unless the OP wants to consider it.

Have they spoken to anyone more senior? I have to say that in any functional business I would expect the owners / senior management to be furious at this kind of abuse of power by a staff member.
But the practical answer is still to make a claim via insurance regardless of whether she also pursues the employment side of it.All posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)2 -
Signs to that effect are attempting to exclude liability for the car park owner not other users. So driver opens their door and bashes the car next to them they can't then try and blame the owner for having spaces that are too narrow.TELLIT01 said:I agree it's not fair, but will notices to the effect that vehicles are parked at the owner's risk affect any claim?
Pass it to your insurers, they'll counterclaim off the managers insurance0
