Paypal CREDIT - the get 20 quid when you spend 40 quid offer

Received an email couple of days ago from Paypal with subject "Get 20 quid on us! Be one of the first 5K new customers to use PayPal Credit before 14 September".

I've been accepted for Paypal credit and was able to book a hotel room for just over 40 quid using Paypal CREDIT.

It seems the same offer has been around as far back as 2019. Has anyone actually been awarded the £20 reward back then?

When did you find out you were awarded it?

The current offer email says:

If approved simply spend £40 or more in one transaction with your PayPal credit account before 14th September.

So, if I don't hear anything from Paypal by 14 September 2021 then I was not one of the 5k customers who were approved for Paypal credit then spent £40 or more?

I suggest leaving this post on Grabbit forum as its more likely to be read. I didn't receive the reward the first time but I did on the second time. I assume you need to be quick as the offer is limited. I used it for a charity donation and still received the paypal reward

Chip savings ran a similar promotion. although their's ran for only 24 hours. It was the first 5000 customers to deposit into their Chip+ account.

I received email about promo on 18 May 2021, Despoited money within 24 hours. Received email from Chip on 24 May 2021 saying 'We're delighted to tell you that you've qualified for our special offer to get £15 for depositing into your Chip+1 account last week!' 

Both emails told me how many customers received the offer email. answer: over 100,000 apparently. Nothing similar on PayPal email.
