Nationwide does not offer mortgages to Help To Buy customers?

Hello,
I am nearing the point in my life where I will be able to afford my first mortgage soon. Out of interest I recently had a look at what mortgage rates I could get with Nationwide (the provider of my HTB ISA) based on what I could afford at the moment. They have an option on their tool to say whether you would be using a HTB ISA or not. When I selected yes to this option, the tool reported that they had 0 mortgage offers for me. So I went back and tried again, keeping most of the information the same, but just selected 'No' on the HTB bit. Lo and behold, they had 8 mortgage offers for me.
Now, on other websites where you can look at what mortgages you could be offered, none of them ask about HTB ISAs and they all show me that I'm eligible for multiple mortgage offers. My question is, is it just Nationwide that has a chip on its shoulder about HTB ISAs? Or would my HTB ISA be useless with other providers as well?
I'm beginning to consider moving my savings from that account to a higher interest fixed savings account, as it seems like the whole HTB scheme is actually more of an UNhelpful entity. Plus 3 grand from the government wouldn't really go very far anyway with house prices the way they are these days.
Any advice?
Thanks in advance

Why not ring them direct and ask the Question.
" Can I use my Nationwide HTB ISA towards a deposit and get a mortgage with Nationwide "
I think it would be totally incredible that they offer HTB ISA,s but won't allow them to be used for a mortgage

Nationwide mortgages are not vaguely connected to you having a HTB ISA with Nationwide or anyone else. The HTB button you are pressing relates to the HTB Equity Loan scheme for newbuilds, not HTB ISA.

You can blame our charming Government for calling everything HTB.

Nationwide can be strange anyway.  I've had a current account with them for five years and an ISA with them for two years. My account balance is always in the black, I've never overdrawn in all the time I've been with them. My credit reports are all satisfactory, nothing of note on any of them.

A couple of months ago I did a soft search through my online Nationwide account to see what kind of credit card I could get with them via their 'members only' page. Answer - very sorry they cannot offer me any at the present time.

I really was flabbergasted, particularly as they were spouting something about how they put members first and wanted to do their best for members.

If I'd really wanted to pursue the matter I would have phoned them but I'm just leaving things as they are at the moment whilst looking around to see where's best to transfer my accounts.

Ahh. Many thanks for pointing that out. I guess I have a lot more to learn!
