When will I get paid for my new job

Look at the written particulars of your employment which your employer should have given you.  What does it say there about payment?

It will depend on when the payroll cut off date is and how efficient your new manager is.  If it's a large company then I doubt you would have been allowed to start unless HR was aware of you.  If it's a small firm they may be a little vague. 

One of the crucial things will be - do they know where to send your pay??  I doubt they will pay by cheque or cash so would have needed your sort code and account number 2 to 3 weeks back.  If they do pay by cheque/cash then it's much easier as long as there is a suitable individual to sign or approve the payment.
