Laser Eye Surgery 2021

Has anybody had this done in recent times. I am 67, I had laser surgery back in 2013 and would probably need to have it reviewed. I will say it has been successful for me up until recently but I am guessing that it is probably age related. One thing I didn't think of at the time was long term after care. I was just pleased to be able to bin my glasses. It's an expensive hobby so I won't go into it lightly but, I would be interested in the opinion of others that have had surgery more recently as the last thread seemed to go until 2017 and I'm sure there may have been big changes since then and if you have experienced surgery for a second time (If of course they do it).
If youcan lie down at night knowing in your heart that you just made someone’s day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day!!

at 67 I would go for clear lens extraction instead ( The same operation as cataract surgery ).
You can have multifocal options and then will not need cataract surgery later2 -
Can I ask the reasons for you saying that?If youcan lie down at night knowing in your heart that you just made someone’s day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day!!0

been done longer
Better long term data
If you have LASER again will then need cataract surgery at some point in the future.
LASER does not work well for presyboypia their is no easy multifocal solution unless you have one eye lasered for distance and one for near.
But better speak to a surgeon about the relative merits2 -
Thank you for that information. It hadn't crossed my mind and, because most of the threads have closed I wondered if was the fad not as favourable as it was.If youcan lie down at night knowing in your heart that you just made someone’s day just a little bit better, you know you had a good day!!0

I am 63 and just been to an initial consultation re laser surgery, the surgeon I saw has a cut off at age 60 for laser and does lens replacement for the over 60s due to the need for multifocal solutions as mentioned above1

Had first eye done just over a week ago and have the second done this Thursday, took about 10 minutes with just drops as a local, vision in the eye that has been operated on seems great, first time in 40+ years of being able to manage without glasses, although obviously with only one eye done, not as well as I hope will be the case by the end of the week2
