DMP & Pre-paid credit cards

Having searched the various forum boards it seems it is possible to get a pre-paid credit card while on a DMP? Is this still the case as most of the posts I found are quite old.
My reason for considering getting one is that my debit cards doesn’t offer any of the purchase protections credit cards offer. Does a pre-paid card offer the same advantages as a regular credit card?
Is there any advantage in having a pre-paid credit card when it comes to rebuilding my credit score once the DMP is finished?

A dmp doesn't make a specific mark on your file but individual creditors will default you.
It may still be possible to get a regular card - this guide explains it all
