Holiday sounds lovely, and you are doing really well with the debt repayments. At the end of the year when the dark nights start to get tiresome, and the weather gets colder you will have the boost of knowing that the loan is gone, the CC is about to go, and that you have a pay rise to look forwards toCredit card debt - NIL

Morning, what a lovely day it is! Washing on the line before 8 today, feel organised!
Was a busy day yesterday being first day back, only half day working today so im thinking I will take my girls to see my mum as I havent seen her for 3 weeks. Will need to top up Fuel though, budget reset today for this week so Hubby spent £20 on Fuel and I have £25 which I will need. Grocery - spent £30 yesterday so have £70 left until 17/08 when my paycheck ends and I get paid again!
My eldest daughters birthday this Friday, she will be an official Teenager which she is really happy about, I think I felt the same at that age, just to be called a TeenagerOut for a meal on Friday to celebrate with a friend of hers which is funded to £100 from my birthday savings pot, spent £50 already on some clothes and body sprays she wanted, so will need to wrap them up, also need to get a card! May have to add to the meal out, but shouldn't be too much I hope.
Thanks @SusieT, @sunshine_raincloud and @bigbeff for your lovely comments. I never thought I would be in the position I am when I started this diary 12 months ago, to have paid off over £9K in 12 months is a huge sense of achievement and actually motivates me to keep on chipping away at that final amount of debt. I am confident I can pay this all off by mid 2023, providing nothing too bad happens. Appreciate cost of living is rising but with my loan finishing in November I will have a chunk to allocate to debt. I havent made many extra PADs recently in view of being on holiday so nothing really done with Prolific, I have £1.99 Cleared and £2.04 Pending. There are lots on there to do today but only working half day means I wont be able to do any surveys today
Had some more good news yesterday, Hubby is getting a 4% payrise which I think he said is payable from October? From January 2023 with my payrise, we should be clearing (after tax and NI) around £100 per month in our take home pay.
Thats about all for now, have a great day!

Morning all, and what a lovely day again although its way too hot in the house to be working!
Small PAD payment made today of £1.65, PAD's totalled on the PAD Thread also. Feel its going to be another huge month of Payments for the DFW community on there!
Its my eldest daughters 13th today and out for a meal tonight to celebrate. Have been busy wrapping her presents and decorating the lounge for when she eventually gets up!
In other news, our oven decided to go pop last night! The element and fan no longer work but our grill is also an oven albeit not a fan oven so at least I can still use that. Really hoping it is just the element and not needing to be replaced
I called and left a message for my financial advisor for our mortgage yesterday as our current deal is due to expire in April next year and I would like to get this renewed early due to the interest rates rises. Im hoping we can as Im dreading the payments increasing.
Think thats all for now, have a great day!

Good idea to start looking at the mortgage, hopefully they can do something for you so you get a decent rate. Happy birthday to your DD#1 I hope you all have a good day!

well just look at your progress since I last caught up!
Glad the holiday was fab - and I want to see the Kelpies too! we were meant to be staying overnight in the area on the way home at New Year 2021 but then of course the lockdowns hit and we ended up having to do the drive straight back in one hit (18 hours - a killer!) rather than staying overnight. Theoretically we might be able to plan it on for the way back from our next trip, but will have to see as it'll depend how knackered we are by the time we get to the right point for the diversion!
That's ace news about the pay rise too - no chance of that happening here sadly!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Morning All
Cant quite believe we are already on Monday feels like I haven't had a break at all this weekend.
Some news from me in that I've had to add to my debtLong story short, we loaned a family member £1500 and they cant pay us back, as they have lost their job and with cost of living increases just cant keep up with payment's. I've had to use my £500 EF and I have added to my Virgin CC £520. Luckily in view I have paid down Virgin they offered me a 0% deal until July 2023 which I have had to take up. I'm just thankful I had my EF as adding to debt further than I have would have derailed my progress significantly
Its not ideal and the family member is really upset they cant pay us back, it is what it is. I suppose we were in a position at the time to be able to offer help, I just now need to start building up the EF asap and in terms of DFD will quite possibly add 1 or 2 months. Family member has promises when they are in a position to start paying back they will.
In other news, I have paid my loan today and now only 3 more payments left. Perhaps a good job in the circumstances!
