    @EssexHebridean

I've now received my payment so really happy 😊

I have just had to fill up my car £96!  I'm just going to try little top ups now as who knows how long this fuel crisis is going to last for!
I am going to try to move away from using the car except when absolutely necessary.  I have been walking or using my bike for local trips and can fit shopping in my panniers so that works.  For visits further away such as my coastal walks I have been investigating using trains/buses. It takes longer but is so much cheaper bearing in mind cost of fuel now and parking costs etc etc.

Yep - I'm with ES on this. I used my bike to go to the gym on Friday - I've always shied away from that in the past as it's properly uphill on the way back. We also walked to get the shopping on Saturday rather than using the car - we didn't need a huge amount and if we use the smaller of our town's two "big" T's stores it isn't that far on foot as we can cut through the woods.  It definitely feels more sensible to stay out of the car when we can - particularly where we'd be using it for shorter journeys where it barely even quite warms up fully.

I’ve just read your diary and you are doing so well. Lovely to read about your PADs and how you are adjusting to the price of living crisis we are all facing.

@jak thankyou for reading though my diary and posting.  PADs I feel are an important part of debt even little bits regular and often as possible.

@enthusiasticsaver and @EssexHebridean our shopping is further afield unfortunately so need to use the car and I cant even remember the time I last got on a bike.  Just need to be careful of unnecessary trips out.

    Good afternoon

So I'm back from my weekend away and had a great time!  When we go away in Motorhome I use a specific bag and purse, I got them out on Saturday when we left home and I had nearly £100 in my purse!  Couldn't quite believe it!  Our weekend was effectively a free one as I didn't have to raid my weekends away pot so a double bonus!  Site fees for 2 nights and first nights meals all paid for  :)

Weather has been lovely, cold yes, but away from the beach into the town it was lovely and warm.  Lots of window shopping for me,  and my girls had their money for clothes shopping as they have grown so much over the last 3 months.  They were really happy they got to choose their own clothes (within reason!)

Yesterday we went bowling and that was really good fun, apart from being charged £10.40 for 2 'slushies' for my girls which my husband ended up getting on my card when it was my turn to bowl.  Luckily I have changed my banking app so it notifies me of any spending on my card and how much.  I queried with the manager and when they checked they had charged for 4!  I wonder how many times that happens and they get away it? I wasn't happy at all!  £5.20 now refunded.

PADS made today are Virgin CC at £117 and Lloyds CC at £114 (Direct Debits) and a Prolific cash out of £7.66 to Lloyds CC.  My balance is now £8726.31, all going in the right direction!

I am counter upper for the Payment a Day thread for the whole of April and all counted up since beginning of the month as I was away.

Need to go shopping for fresh bits now back and then back to work tomorrow!

    Thats about all for now

    Afternoon!

PAD counter upper duties completed this morning and also managed to send a PAD myself of £5.74 from my account 'Save the change'.  Im 13p away on Prolific to cashing out £5 but do have £3.20 pending as I have completed some surveys this morning.  I have noticed since joining Prolific I have cleared £301.85 which 100% has gone to debt payoff.

I have joined another survey site Panelbase to assist my debt PAD payments and also joined Shoppix too.  The cash outs are alot higher than Prolific but its fine, its all free money and will all go towards extra PAD's!

I was meant to take my father in law to an appointment today but this got cancelled due to lack of staff and covid infections.  Slightly happy in that I save fuel in the car but on the flipside is concerning the rate of infections are rising rapidly again.  :(

NSD for me today and Im spending the afternoon catching up on MAFS and will also watch some budget videos on youchoob, can never get enough of tips and tricks to assist with my debt journey!

    Thats about all for now

    Morning

Quick update form me.  Counter upper duties completed this morning on the Payment A Day Thread and again managed a small PAD of £6.87 to Lloyds CC from Prolific cash out.

NSD for me, as Im WFH this week on a Wednesday when I would usually go into work due to school holidays. All regular payments made to debt, next one is around 20th  April.  Im really hopeful that during my next paycheck, I can break the next thousand into the £7K's....fingers crossed.

    Thanks

Glad your weekend was great and what a lovely surprise finding that money in your purse, too! Brilliant to be able to offset even further what were already planned and budgeted spends!
