CCJ REMOVAL - dodgy companies avoid !

Options
I've been looking into CCJ removal and come across two companies who advertise for this who seem quite plausible at first but turn out to have no legal qualifications at all! they are both offering legal services though . I've spoken to both and they seem to be offering to remove my CCJ but when I've checked them out they are not regulated companies with the FCA or anyone like that ? Should I be reporting them ? if so to who ? cant be a police matter surely ?
they are Lender and court in Manchester and ARK legal and court mediation services in Leeds . How can people offer legal services if they are not actual solicitors or barristers ?

They're regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority - you'd need to take it up with them

You could ask the SRA to check but it all looks like it might be correct.

They're just offering a specific legal service so I don't think the FCA has to get involved with them

Ive rung the SRA helpline and she said that its illegal for none regulated companies to take part in Litigation . as this is a reserved activity . She mentioned the legal services act 2007 and a quick Google says that taking steps or ancillary steps should only be done by regulated persons . so it seems they are offering a service they are not allowed to do .

None of those reserved activities apply to what they're doing. You are the one commencing legal action, not them.

Just because they offer legal services doesn't mean the are breaking the law.

They can do all the donkey work and pass the legal side of it to a solicitor who they may a relationship with.

Estate agents will sell your house but the use law firms for conveyancing, same thing.

After the first 30 days since judgement, the ONLY way a CCJ can be removed is via a successful set aside application.

My understanding is they simply apply for the set aside, by consent, on your behalf, and charge you £600 plus £100 court fee, for the privilege.

They use a barrister for the legal bit -

"Once the Claimant has indicated that they will agree the Legal Order then we will instruct a Barrister to draft the agreement".
