How to stop cheese getting mouldy?

I change the wrapping occasionally so I know the new wrapper is dry, and always make sure a dry knife is doing the cutting.
Don't cut the cheese after the tomatoes without wiping the knife lol.0 -
I take it Out of packaging, put in airtight tub in fridge Or put it in greaseproof then tin foil.
i buy big blocks and only me eating it , but doesn’t go mouldy . If it’s getting to the extra strong smell stage I might grate and put in freezer. I buy extra strong cheddar anyway🤩Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0 -
I put it either in cling film or an Ikea food bag, if it goes mouldy I just cut the mouldy bit off - it's what my Mum did and we're all still here!

What's leftover cheese ?
It doesn't last that long here !!1 -
Parmigiano Reggiano from Sainsbury's, even the organic one, seems to go mouldy quite fast, even in the cheese drawer of the fridge. So we keep it in the freezer and grate from frozen.

Well good on the not thowing it out but the bag or film will make it go mouldy faster. Like most things in a fridge it will need to breathe to last longest. Wrapped in wax paper or even a paper bag is probably best.
