I would not jump to any conclusions until you get a fuller explanation .
Come back and keep us informed as it seems an interesting case .
  • I do know that I've not authorised anything and that they still manage the original DC accounts. But yes will update.
  • So it turns out it got transferred to the tesco legal and general pension.

I contacted them and they got my account up and running in 5 minutes.

Sadly then fund has done woefully in comparison to another fund I have with a Standard Life.

    With or without your consent...?
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

    This all seems rather odd.

Were you a member of the Tesco DB Scheme in 2015 (when it closed)? Is this one of your deferred DB pensions?

Did you continue to work for Tesco and thus join the DC Scheme?

The DC Scheme is provided through L&G (and this seems to have been the case since  DB ended) so if the above is the case then what is all this about a transfer in 2019?
  • Sorry for late replies.

I wasn't informed. But tesco took over booker and it's pension schemes.

Mine was a dc pension from 2005 when I left the company.

It is not uncommon for company pension schemes to change provider.  They dont need your permission, but they should have told you about the new scheme and for example the range of funds you can invest in.

You have no say in the matter but you should have received communications.  You may wish to check the address they hold is correct.
