Sorry if I have missed something but £24 a month seems very low for childcare. (#38)
So much good advice on here!Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
#55 i work part time, I only have to pay childcare for 2hours a week on a Monday. I haven't actually included what I have to pay during school holidays - so you are right, it isn't accurate if you take the whole year into account. I will amend the SOA.
I am off to Toys R Us now to return £30 worth of presents I bought but will not give to the children. So that Virgin bill will be a bit lower by the end of today.0 -
hi again
i have to say spending time on this site/forums, and the old-style board is how i have picked up all my hints and tips. you can even put in a list of ingredients on the os board and the folks will list you a load of recipes! there are also lots of ideas for bulking out meals.
i now do my major shop in asda - they have some really good deals on good branded stuff eg. items at £1.50 each or 3 for £2.50. they seem random and too good to be true sometimes. if they ovecharge you, they have to give you the difference back and they are supposed to also give you a £2 giftcard also.
i also collect coupons from mags at work, instore, custome service desks etc and use what i can. i find the chicken thigh fillets at £2.48 for 6 good value - my oh prefers them to the chicken breasts. you can cook as they are or chop up for curries etc.
i now hate to pay full price for anything, stock up when offers are on and meal plan around special offers too. i have to say that i couldn't live without my freezer for money-saving and and time-saving too.0
