Wages

Hi there,
I've just been offered a job and I have been given a few options for my wage. I'm not very good with numbers, but I have worked out that I have the following options with a Pro rata or full time salary:
1. £1777 monthly, 7 weeks holiday, extra responsibility (Pro rata wage of 31k over 48 weeks)
2. £2060 monthly, 5 weeks hols, extra responsibility (full time wage of 31k per annum)
3. £1507, 11 weeks hols, no added responsibility (Pro rata wage of 28k over 44 weeks)
They have given me lots of options to fit around around kids school holidays etc and I know it is my decision here to choose time over money etc. But I was just wondering money wise if I have a bad deal with any of these...does one sound more impressive then the other? I feel for extra responsibility I should be paid more than they are proposing, but we have already had that conversation and they have agreed to give me these options. I don't want to be working for less with time I could have spent with my children.
Many thanks in advance.

What is the extra responsibility and why is it being factored in, you're either doing that role or you arent. Whats to prevent them piling the work from the extra responsibility role onto you regardless of your preferred option anyway?Sounds far to up in the air at this point. More information is required.0

Thanks for your response! So option 1 was the first proposed wage and they gave me list of what counts as 'more responsibility' such a supervising/managing two other colleagues, leading meetings and helping with budgeting. I felt that the 31k reflected the extra responsibility and that I should still be entitled to my 11 weeks holiday (school holidays) as I did with my old role, but they have then made my holiday time shorter to 7 weeks with the pay increase. I have told them how I feel about this and they then gave me option 2 or 3. So option 3 is basically my old role. Hope that makes senseoh_really said:What is the extra responsibility and why is it being factored in, you're either doing that role or you arent. That leaves your employer finding additional cover for 4 weeks. Which will result in them having to pay someone else to fulfill the role. Comes at at an overall increase in costs to the business.Gillard said:

Does this effect any other benefits? Less wages means less money into your pension for one. Assuming option 1 is the original offer…….
If you take option 2 they are effectively paying you £300/month to lose 2 weeks holiday. If you take option 3 you are paying them £250/month for your extra 4 weeks holidays & less responsibility. If your childcare would be more than this for 4 weeks it seems a good option. It’s tough being a working mum, less responsibility can be a good thing 😉:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j1 -
Thanks for your help! Option 3 is actually the original offer but I did want the extra responsibility as I means I can progress with my career a little more and try something a bit different. I just don't want to take on the added responsibility if I'm not being paid fairly for it 😒MatyMoo said:Assuming option 1 is the original offer…….
