  • Hi. Delurking!
Thank you so much lwap for explaining the crypto currency. I am really interested, but like many a bit to scared to give it a go.
But i love that you are giving it a go and leaning about it.
That silly arrogant man could have learnt alot from you if he had the sense to stop forcing his views and actually listened. His loss!
Are there any yt videos that you would recommend to help learn more.
I have been intrigued since one of DH colleague 'retired' early after making a million on bitcoin. He now lives off the interest 3000 a month!!

    Wow - they are lucky!

An unfortunate friend of my ex H, did the wrong thing and borrowed serious cash 10k or something and invested a good chunk in a crypto product. It flopped and he lost the lot. I enjoy the stock markets and like they say, only invest what you can afford to loose.

  • You have quite a bit going on! Good luck with the job hunt & hope everything goes smoothly with new management company. For what its worth, we decided to buy after our landlord started putting the rent up beyond our means instead of looking for a new rental. We just thought it was a waste of money and very unpredictable if the new landlord would sell up after a yr. Glad we did buy!

Might take a look at crypto and like you say, stay small and grow it slowly. My ex H knows a bit about it and he has been investing for years. Keep warm!

  • Just thinking out loud and not done any serious investigation into it, so feel free to ignore.
Can you use your own company as your “employer” in discussions with rent people.
If its a limited company then you actually are an employee.  So as long as the names are different then you could potentially produce payslips etc

I didn’t think landlords were allowed such a big increase ? And if they are then they shouldn’t ! How are people supposed to be able to afford such a jump !

Interesting idea. I suspect the drawdown / income would still be too sporadic?
