I can’t remember if you track NSDs (No Spend Days) or not? I have joined Cathybird’s challenge here:
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6482438/nifty-novembers-no-spend-days-challenge#latest
There will be a new one for December shortly 😊

It does make a huge difference to how much and how often you spend. Planned / budgeted / necessary things are not included as losing you an NSD (so things like spends on medication, fuel to run a car to get to work, the big weekly food shop don’t lose you an NSD) but unplanned spends such as a treat coffee with a friend do - you define *your* rules. I manage the ‘treats aspect’ by having a set amount of ‘pocket money’ each month in cash for these sorts of small indulgences (we have to live). Once it’s gone it’s gone. You say you enjoy gamifying tasks, projects etc. and it is certainly working for your decluttering. I love winning all the emojis each month! 😉❤️ You might appreciate this 😊

Being self employed I get the time spent + time avoidance means I can't do things that are fun for me like riding.I need to eat my elephants and promptly.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
