Pension Tax on Funds that didn't receive tax relief

Can anyone advise if money paid into a pension fund that did not receive tax relief can be withdrawn without paying tax on it.  It is money that has already been taxed and it would be taxed twice if it is taxable on withdrawal.

No. (caveats apply in case we are talking unusual circumstances - e.g. protected tax free cash, death before 75, only taking out below personal allowance, becoming a tax resident of a certain country etc)

It is money that has already been taxed and it would be taxed twice if it is taxable on withdrawal. 

This is why, in most cases, you would not put money into a pension if you are not getting the front end benefit. Or an overall benefit.

There are not many cases where you don't get front end relief (wait for it.... ).    Redress payments and payments above annual allowances being two of them.   What was your reason?
