HSBC Mortgage offer extension

Does anyone have any experience extending past the initial 6 month offer with HSBC?.
Our offer expires 1st Sept which seemed OK, but today my buyers have decided they need last minute survery which won't happen till end of next week.
No way we will make 1st September now.
How quickly do banks respond to extention requests?
Any advice would be brilliant.
I'll call my broker tomorrow to discuss, but getting myself rather worked up !

Hsbc dont do offer extensions unless its a matter of days and solicitor requests it as completion has been scheduled.0

We are porting our mortgage and adding to it with HSBC.
Can we apply again whilst this offer is still valid..? I need to call my broker in the morning.
