I feel a bit guilty,but i was waiting for my conformation email as i thought they might not be able to fullfill the order a la "free BT headset offer"

well, I think I managed to get one as well, at about 8.35 this morning (I got caught in a conversation at 8.30 when I meant to call!)...the lady said to expect delivery by Thursday and I had a confirmation email.
My credit card company also says the transaction is showing and I haven't heard back from them today so I guess it is going ahead, but you never can tell!
Anyway, probably shows that if two of us managed to get it this morning there's sure to have been a few others that read this board but haven't posted...0 -
I phoned at 8.30 this morning and they processed my order then cancelled, I’m not happy with there service as there basically denying you could order them without bidding on ebay.
Here is the email conversation so far (bottom one is the first message)…
This is not the problem at all, otherwise why was it necessary to ring me to lie about not having any left in stock when clearly you have? (I still have this recorded message)

You can see you have sold the item to many people, who did not bid via ebay, but simply rung you and said they have seen the advert.
This morning you (Creative, Europe) took all my details including my bank details and confirmed everything was fine, I would expect you to honour this transaction even if it was a mistake by a member of your staff.

The first question I asked about the item is “are you still doing them
at £122?” To which the reply was “yes”. So I placed my order for two of
them and gave my details.
Fifteen minutes later I received a voice mail saying unfortunately the
item was out of stock and to call back if there was anything else they
could do.
I did call back to see if the item was genuinely out of stock, I
explained my situation and I was told they could sell it for £269. I
have been told I will be rung back after the phone operator has ‘spoken
with her colleges’ However I have not received this phone call.
So basically it seems what has happened is somebody on the other end of
the phone made a mistake of allowing me to order after the offer has
expired. But rather than honour the order she rang me back up and lied
about the item being out of stock to save her own back.
I find this very annoying and would like you to honour the price I was
told the item was being sold at.

(There may well be certain repercussions that I'm sure I don't have to spell out)
I think Creative do have a point - they advertised it on eBay and probably thought that those who rang up on Thurs/Friday and initially yesterday were the 10 eBay buyers.
Clearly though the sheer volume of callers first thing yesterday highlighted that these were not the eBay buyers after all.0 -
Its rubbish what they are saying about having to have your name on the ebay item - The woman I spoke to asked if I had put my name on it and I said no. She then went ahead and took my order! I havent yet had a cancellation, but after reading the last few posts, I am betting it aint arriving on thursday!0

I would have a look the pacel tracking page.You can see if it is on it's way.
Creative told me to check on Monday (yesterday) and it was with Parceline in Cardiff already,then it was delivered later that day.As it was ordered late on Friday,i was not expecting it until Wednesday.Sponsored by Tesco Clubcard Points !!0 -
Well, i had a mail to say its been despatched today! Not on the tracking yet but can only assume it will arrive after all! Looks like it was just pot luck which operator you ordered with as to whether they honoured the sale or not.0
