Thanks One-Eye, I just checked and my notification preferences are different, in that I have nearly all of them ticked for email, including "Notify me when people comment on my bookmarked discussions." But it isn't working for me, not on the Puzzler and TAB threads anyway.

On the code thread I think it started to happen Jan this year, it was reported (several times), someone asked about starting a new thread and a BG response was

Forum team have asked us to ok a new thread to solve your notification problem 

If someone starts new threads as required we will close the old ones 

Hopefully will solve the issue
