My wife and I reach 66 this month, and we get different pensions. We were both contracted out, and had a gap of 5 years NI conts. I paid to fill them, and both records now show 50 years full payments. I am entitled to £178 per week, but for some reason my wife (same 50 years), is only due £164.71. Why would that be please?

Did you pay pre or post April 2016 years?
Did your wife pay pre or post April 2016 years?
What did your wife's forecast say (in full) before she paid the additional 5 years?
Has she looked her Personal Tax Account to see what it shows her current forecast (the full details) is?
Can you post her current forecast (the full details).0 -
Because she had a different starting amount in April 2016 either due to a higher COPE amount or lower S2P depending on which calculation was used. Years are not the only consideration when calculating the SP.Have you got any room to make up the amount ?0

What exactly did your wife's State Pension Forecast say before any voluntary contributions were made/0

This post gives the background on how the calculations are done so that you'll understand why things like knowing exactly which years are missing and bought matter. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/78491594/#Comment_78491594
It's uncertain but my initial thought is that you might have worked, received credits or bought years after 2016 and her not. Typically for those with long contracted out work histories buying years before 2016 makes no difference at all.0
