PensionBee

Anyone heard of these, say they can find my old pensions and invest them. Any thoughts on their funds and which would be best for anyone using them?

I used PensionBee to pull together small old pots and was a easy process, I have their fossil free fund

It does this by passively tracking the FTSE All-World TPI Transition ex Fossil Fuel ex Tobacco ex Controversies index.

This is a completely new index created specifically for PensionBee’s Fossil Fuel Free Plan.

    Fees are 0.75%

Pensionbee market themselves with a USP that they can combine your existing pensions but in reality that is what most if not all pension providers offer.
I opened an account with them and found their reference to a 'beekeeper' contacting me rather twee.
I did not proceed with making transfers as I found much cheaper providers to suit my pension value and investment choice.

I transferred a pension to them. It took ages because of their incompetence (they forgot about it!). Since then I have had no end of problems - they never delivered on promises made when I transferred to them and never had any intention of doing so, their admin and it systems are hopeless and not fit for purpose, they are set up to make it easier for themselves not customers, total lack of communication. After 2 years I transferred to Penfold who have been absolutely brilliant, far better than PensionBee, staff more approachable, good systems and superb communication.

They can only transfer a pension if you give them details, they will not start from scratch and you cannot set up a new pension with them, it has to be a transfer.

Promised a system for regular monthly withdrawals which never materialised and now they have said never will!!! Promised to use my tax code but never did. Promised good communication when I complained but failed miserable. Could say much more.

The CEO talks a good talk , but as far as I know they have no special way of finding old pensions, anymore than anyone else. You will have to provide a suitable amount of info to them for them to located the details , just as if you did it yourself.

Prior to going public had around 137,000 customers and some £1.6 billion of assets under management. With asset plans managed by investment managers Legal & General, BlackRock and State Street. With a competitive price point for what they offer. Likely to become a mainstream player as growing at a pace.
