Hi

sorry if i've post this in the wrong place but just looking a bit of advice.

I'm currently looking to swap from oil to gas and have had quotations to do so and been offered 0% finance. I'm luckly enough to have the amount saved up to cover the work but was wondering is it worth it to bank the money (and not touch it) and use the 0% coming out of said bank account? My thought where it would be nice to have that money way in the background incase anything happened.

Or will this effect my credit rating to much? and should i just paid for the work and be done with it?

  • 0% finance is never free.  Almost certainly the price you have been quoted will have been inflated to cover the costs of the finance.

Ask them for a price without the finance, and if they quote you the same price, politely decline.

Yeah i've got one quote and they never mentioned finance the other did both are very similar on price and the finance is done through phoenix gas so seem to be nothing to do with the engineering.
