Duvet split into quarters for washing

I had an idea that a duvet could be in 4 parts for a king size, 2 parts for a single, with big heavy duty zips
When in the bed the zips would be hardly noticeable but the unzipped parts would be easy to wash at home in a standard domestic washing machine. A well designed duvet could have flap of duvet over the zip
So I looked for washable duvets and there is nothing like this on the market. You can't wash a duvet in a domestic m/c it just fills up the whole washer and will not get washed..
Help Thanks

Take it to the laundrette. That’s what I do £4 to wash it, and then bring it home to dry outside or over the bannister, depending on the weather.£12 service wash if you want it washed and dried for you.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
You could get two thinner duvets; it would also allow you to use one in the summer and double-up for winter.

This thread is now nearly 2 years old, so I’d hope the original question has been answered by now.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
