BOOTS ADVANTAGE POINTS CAN EARN BUT CAN'T SPEND!

Has anyone else had the problem that when you want to spend your Boots Advantage Points it comes up on the till or online that you can earn points but can't spend them. This has been ongoing for me for a long time, and I have resorted to sending the CEO a polite letter, which he passed down to a manager, who seems to have no idea how the system works. ANY SUGGESTIONS GRATEFULLY RECEIVED. Thank you.

Nope !
I made a purchase with mine on the weekend and had no issues.0 -
Were you trying to use points towards the cost of an item (and the balance in some other way) rather than paying the whole amount using points?helenkd said:Has anyone else had the problem that when you want to spend your Boots Advantage Points it comes up on the till or online that you can earn points but can't spend them. Thanks for your reply, but no I wasn't. For some reason their system has blocked me from spending the points I have earned, I am beginning to think they have mixed me up with someone who has abused their system, but have exhausted every way I can think of to sort this out. Thanks anyway.0

I'm a Bootsaholic and I've never had an issue like that. The only exception is that if you want to pay in points, it has to be for the full amount of the purchase, so you can't use £25 worth of points and pay £25 in cash if your spend is £50.
Have you tried asking a member of staff in a store? They are normally very helpful and will sort it for you. Well in my experience they always go out of their way with any questions or queries.
Good luck.1 -
Thank you for your reply, the store staff are very helpful, but always refer me to head office to resolve the problem.0

Sounds like an IT glitch to me.
If they can't re-programme the account, they can always issue you with a new card and transfer your points onto it.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.0 -
Thank you Rosa, unfortunately they tried this last time but it still hasn't worked. Thank you for your reply.0

I’m “a bit”late to this conversation but I have this very problem I have points worth nearly £200 but every time I try to use them to pay either in store or online, it’s a “computer says no” and the staff can’t help me but refer me to the head office. Did you manage to resolve yours?
