Have you used a 'leftover food' app?

Hello folks,
I've been dabbling with the free Too Good to Go app. I was really pleased to find that the independent coffee and cake place across the road was on it, and I managed to get a haul of cakes and pastries for £2.50. Felt like a jackpot. Unfortunately it hasn't appeared on the app since.
I've not tried Olio yet though I've seen a few old posts here from people who rate it.
Has anyone tried out a few different leftover food apps? Do you have a preference?

I use Olio a couple of times a week and it’s been great. You can choose what you request although won’t always get them. I regularly get houmous avocado and blueberries. Bread is always on offer but the product mix varies from day to day and store to store. I predict there will be masses of goodies available tonight- who would want to go shopping in these downpours unless they have to? There will be a lot of fresh food left on the shelves today. A mixed success with the magic bags and TGTG but I am Vegan so a lot of items would be unsuitable. Great value if you are not fussy or have a big family with hollow legs!Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

I’ve had good bags from TGTG with only one disappointment. Nothing near me On olio tho I do check.0

Olio, I’ve given up on. Never anything near me.
Tried the TGTG app - only managed to get one bag for simply fresh. It was good value for what it was, but a lot of it was things I wouldn’t normally eat - pasties and microwave snacks. Plus I was hoping for a mix of fresh veg and got 3 large bags of broad beans which I don’t like so donated on. Pretty much everything was things I could freeze - it would have been wasted otherwise.Round here it’s more the convenience stores, so more snack type stuff. Better for a household than single people, I think. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

I have looked at TGTG app, but nothing in my area. I have an i phone. The TGTG is free to download. The olio app I would have to pay for so I have not tried itI am a Senior Ambassador on the Competitions Time Board and the Old Style MoneySaving Board.

I have Olio and Too Good to Go. I use Olio more frequently as there is a food hero just around the corner from me and so I can pick up more easily. I've not had any luck as yet on TGTG but I keep checking now and then.
