Payplan- a success story.

Long story short and one that I guess is very familiar, I got into trouble when I was younger, hard. I guess I was never really taught about money and hit credit like it was going out of fashion during the payday lending boom a few years back now.
I had been in denial for years, a familiar story of borrowing from one lender to pay back another over and over, hiding debt recovery letters, panicking about visits from bailiffs. Then one day I stumbled across Payplan and now I’m here, 5 years later and finally, finally rid of it.
I won’t lie and say it’s been easy, and I know full well that I’m lucky to have been able to afford larger monthly payments to clear this quicker but it has been a graft at times, prioritising spending to what is only absolutely necessary each month, foregoing family holidays and luxury treats but wow it’s been worth it.

My message to anyone that’s in a similar situation to where I was 4 years ago is stick with it, seek help, it’s hard but the alternative is much worse.
Now I’ve just got to work out where to put this “extra” money each month, I’m so used to not having it. High interest savings or ISA seems the obvious options.
