Looking for hope really I suppose! So after 2 very stressful weeks we found out today we have been declined with Skipton (husband already with them I was being added on) this being on the basis at dip stage Skipton used transunion then went on to use Experian at full application (new thing) we failed in point scoring, now, I did take a large drop in points about 2 weeks ago putting me into poor bracket and I assume this was due to a car change and the accounts not updating to close one account and open the other. I digress, my broker is arguing the toss with Skipton as they are saying they may honour using transunion for scoring as they had for dip being as though it was still within 30 day timeframe however this will take 24/48hrs for a decision
If this still fails, which I suspect it will, does anyone have good news stories re finding new lenders I’m losing the will here I feel absolutely devastated that we will now lose the dream home we want so much

Short backstory on me 12 year previous bankruptcy, 23k debt between us (to be paid with sale proceeds) and 15% deposit(22,250) house price 145k earnings of £39k
I trust in my broker I’m just looking for light in this very darkened tunnel
many thanks 😊

If your bankruptcy was over 6 years ago this shouldn’t be an issue , your debt is going to be cleared so that will be ok and most lenders take more risk with a 15% deposit. My broker looked at Skipton first for me and my income is similar but the Ltv they offered was really low , they might pay good commission which is why was a first choice . The broker applied with Coventry after Skipton and was a smooth process , they do a hard search at AIP so you will know straight away if going to be ok. The mortgage offer was in within 5 days of application. You will be fine and will get something sorted1

Also the hard search Coventry do is with Equifax.1

Luckily many lenders. If no from Skipton another lender will say yes.1

@stickysituation Based on the limited info in your post, your broker should be able to place your case without too much trouble.
TransUnion might be their backup agency but Skipton's main one is Experian afaik.
