Came home from work to a letter stamped on the back from Bauer. I thought "ooh, lovely - £25!" as I opened it, secretly crossing my fingers that it might have been £50.
Well. Imagine my surprise when I read the letter and found I'd won £2,000 from the July issue of Take A Puzzle!
I've been entering the puzzle mags for many years and I think the only prize I'd won before was £30. This has come just at the right time, as we've recently spent a lot on the credit card doing up the house, so it will pay that off with a bit to spare for treats!
