I am the executor!ThisnotThat said:
But you have no right to access the portal with your mum's code. It's for her use only, and even if you were the executor, they'd need a code to access it as her executor, not as her.Happy_Kitties said:
She had no assets. They had her certificate and I still have a code from them for m6 mum to access the claims portalThisnotThat said:
Unless she had no assets you would need probate. Given she's not around to answer any questions and it's likely you probably needed probate I'd be inclined to drop it.Happy_Kitties said:
Can I just ask would a claim still stand even though she has died. They asked for all sorts of info like probate which we didn’t need, I just had a basic will and I sent the death certificate. They weren’t sure what to do and when I asked for further clarification they still weren’t sure now she has diedDeleted_User said:
That's normal. Checking that everyone was telling the truth on every question on every application would take forever.Happy_Kitties said:she had about 5 or 6 loans on the go pretending she had an income from my brother and they just accepted her word. But will call them again about accessing as her executor but from the details they took I think it has already been done and I offered to supply any documents that I did haveDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You still don't have the right to access the portal if those details were given to her, rather than you.Happy_Kitties said:

This is a pointless exercise. Some of the loans were obtained fraudulently, and you'll get peanuts if anything. Better to go find something more productive to do.1 -
Many thanks for your attitude, I posted on here for advice not to be attacked or patronised.ThisnotThat said:

With her extremely limited estate everything has been done legally by the book and I will continue to do so.
I will ring Provident on Monday for up to date advice. You see when I rang previously giving my own name and explaining the situation after they had had the death certificate……you never guess what, they asked me for her scheme ID and took my details and I voted on behalf of my mother for the scheme of arrangement
when all this is done, I will be quite happy to let you know if it was all a pointless exercise.

You're complaining about miss-selling unaffordable loans. These loans were unaffordable as the applicant lied about their income (which you may well need to prove to make the complaint). As soon as you show that the loans were obtained through fraud, what do you think is likely to happen?

@Deleted_User as said previously I’ve been doing everything legally and above board. They already knowDecluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

That does not correlate with this:Happy_Kitties said:@Deleted_User as said previously I’ve been doing everything legally and above board. They already knowWas she mis sold yes, she would take out another loan to part pay off the previous loan at one stage she had about 5 or 6 loans on the go pretending she had an income from my brother and they just accepted her wordArguing she was miss-sold and everything is legal and above board when you freely admit your mother committed loan fraud is not possible. They were unaffordable only because she lied about her income to make it seem like she could afford them. She wasn't miss-sold, she miss-bought. Good luck with this, maybe you will get money, maybe not, suspect it will depend on whether you told them she lied about her income as that would rather suggest they were not miss-selling.

@Deleted_User once again to repeat myself the Provident already know about what my mum did, it was one of the first things I told them as to repeat myself again everything is being doing legally and above board with the dealings of her very limited estate
Provident’s response was they recognised the various tricks that people would use and admitted that not enough checks had been used by themselves so were not concerned and just to follow through with the claim.Decluttering challenge 2023🏅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
