i have a blocked drain and require repair to a cement work holding manhole cover frame, which is crumbling away. Anyone had a builder in to do this work, I've been recommended to one and am surprised that a builder would do this work.
Hope your day is blessed with peace

Yes. We had this experience recently.
My dads drains had partially collapsed. We got a drain company in to check them and they started quoting crazy numbers to remove the collapsed section, re-lay and put in new man holes etc. We got a local builder to do it instead (he built my sisters house) and it was literally a fraction of the cost.
A proper builder will be well used to doing drainage systems around houses etc.
