What is the current situation with the NHS dental treatment (Wales)? I have been suffering with toothache for two days I phoned my dentist who is going to fit me in under an emergency appointment. Do the dentists carry out fillings? or is it still temporary fillings only?

Dentists in Wales have been practicing as "normal" since June last year. However the stringent protocols they still have to do means that everything takes a lot longer than usual and filling appointments have to be booked into special "agp" appointment slots where the staff have to dress up in enhanced PPE and the surgery has to be left fallow and cleaned down afterwards. My guess is you will have a temporary filling and be rebooked in for the filling which may be some time away.1
