Barclays mortgages

Hi all

I am looking for a residential property and own a buy to let. I am a Barclays customer. 

Barclays have stated that they will
include my buy to let mortgage payments in the affordability calculator meaning I can borrow less from them. 

I said I didn’t want to include the buy to let income in the application as I am going to sell it by the end of the year. 

Does anyone know when this started? Do all other lenders also work in this way?

    Barclays can change their criteria overnight if they wish. The application will be based on the facts at the time. Not on yet undetermined future events. That applies to any personal circumstances.

    You have not need to use Barclays and different Lender's handle BTL mortgages in the background difference.

    Many Lenders will discount the effect of your buy to let mortgage provided the rental income covers the cost.
