Finally got a quote through today. This is for a 12 x JA 380W panels, Huawei 5kw inverter and Huawei 10kWh battery for just under £11k. Anybody have any experience of the Huawei kit? Does the price seem reasonable?
What did you go for in the end? I'm about to get almost that system installed but with a 3.68kw inverter.
The zero VAT and convenience of a battery for evening use swung it for me.

I had a Huawei 5kw hybrid inverter installed with 10kwh battery at the beginning of February. Have been very happy with it so far. Inverter reacts very quickly to changing loads, the software is good and provides lots of data, but some parameters need an installer login (which I have set up) and can only be changed through browser rather than app. Any questions, let me know.

Might be better to have a bigger inverter and restrict export to 3.68 then it can supply 5kw for your applicances?

Like many people I'm already committed now and probably should have read these boards before hand. 3.68 should take care of most things apart from the shower to be fair.
We don't often run lots at once, our peak draw is never normally over 3.5kwh
I'm happy to manage how we use the power and go from there.

2 months now with my Huawei set up and it's very pleasing.
Not a single day (I know it's summer) where the battery has gone below 37% and I'm averaging 280w per day of grid use.
Equipment seems well built and my installer is ready to help with any issues I might have.

My friend is also having a  similar set up in Oct.
