Hello Fresh / Gousto etc

Although seemingly expensive, the introductory deals can be quite cheap.
I got a box of 3 meals for 3 people for £5 from Hello Fresh for example.
However I'm not sure about the longevity.
The box (2 people, 4 meals) is now £25 and that's with 30% off.
While the average portion price is usually fairly good, it's still more expensive than what I usually have, but it's the variety, ease of cooking and less waste that is the draw for me.
Tried Gousto but was not as impressed.
Any other people use these services?

I much prefer Gousto to HelloFresh. Personally I find the recipies on offer more interesting and flavourful, but I know others who prefer HelloFresh too. HelloFresh also felt like there is a lot of additional cost meals.
Depends a bit if there is an ingredient you don't like too, my partner doesn't eat mushrooms, courgette and a few other things so that limited the choice further.
I'm usually happy paying the £35 a box for Gousto, yes it isn't cheap, but the price includes delivery. I am getting them a bit less often now as I'm recreating the recipes myself a lot, but the box is helpful for giving me the push to try it the first time.
That's another reason I didn't like HelloFresh, the recopies are vague so you can't recreate the. Gousto says 1 tablespoon of curry powder, but HelloFresh says 1 sachet of north indian spices, I've no idea how much was in the sachet so can't repeat it easily!.0 -
I tried the £5 offer from Hello Fresh and was not impressed, fatty untrimmed chicken pieces for instance, however as it was a trial I tried it and will not bother again

I've never had fatty breast meat from HelloFresh or Gousto, but thigh always is no matter where it is from.0 -
I'm talking about the like of hello fresh and others of the same Recipes by post companies, Are they worth it ? are they any good for 1 person ? I was thinking of freezing part portions. I do batch make things like chilli and curry, sausage casserole, for freezing, but was thinking of trying something different. Any info on best ones to try.Jane x0

Yes I've looked up the hello fresh recipes online as well - just as easy to nip to the shop to get the bits you don't have in.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -

I understand that some people have been attracted to these companies by the various offers but it doesn't seem a very mse way of cooking. 🤔1
