State Pension date seems to varies

hi
May be a silly question but here we go.
when I checked on the gov website when I can get my state pension the date given is wrong. It is 7 month early.
I thought it should be 67 years but for some reason it is 66 years and 5 months.
Since you can type any 'date' I tried few dates. Most is 67 years, but for some the result varies from 66 years and xx months
Is there something wrong somewhere or is this is correct but then why?
In effect get my full pension 7 months before I am actually 67

There is a transitional period for the SPA to increase from 66 to 67 years. I'm guessing your birthday is in or about September 1960 - in which case Check your State Pension age - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) will be accurate.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661

The age you receive your state pension is changing, this may clarify things, https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/state-pension-age-timetable/state-pension-age-timetableIt's just my opinion and not advice.1

hi
I went to the web site and if I type 22/06/1960 the result is 'Your State Pension age is 66 years, 3 months'JGB1955 said:There is a transitional period for the SPA to increase from 66 to 67 years. I'm guessing your birthday is in or about September 1960 - in which case ..... will be accurate.
I even tried 07/11/1962 again it was not 67 years
Thanks for the info, It does clarify the why. At least one 'problem' solved.SouthCoastBoy said:The age you receive your state pension is changing, this may clarify things, .....
The funny thing when I rang the some gov number to try to find out, they did not seem to be aware of this.0 -

Why did you think it was 67 in the first place?andrethefrog said:hi

At the moment the SPA is 66 and it remains at age 66 for anyone born up to 5th April 1960. Anyone born 6th April 1960 onwards will have a different SPA as it's then beginning its rise to 67. Some younger people have a SPA of 68 just now.
You can see the SPA of everyone born from 6th April 1950 onwards here.
