Hey all, still looking to find a Xbox series X for a good price...shocked they haven't got more in stock yet they are meant to be £450
this site is selling them for £653 which is £200 more but people look to be buying it at this price!
Still Out of stock on currys same with tesco
Does anyone know when these will be available! Surely it can't be corona related at this point?

Amazon, Argos. Game and other retailers regularly have small amounts of stock availability, but you have to be quick. Otherwise you are relying on scalpers who are the ones charging inflated prices. The stock situation is unlikely to change so that they are freely available this year, there probably will not be any retailers selling them below £450 until at least 2023 at the earliest.1 -
2023 earliest! wow
Ah I never heard of the semiconductor shortage. That makes a little more sense than just the pandemic, as everything is close to being back to normal now (for the most part)
thanks for the explanation @MattMattMattUK0 -

The semiconductor shortage is causing huge issues, not only for computer products themselves (eg. laptops, CPUs, graphics cards, consoles, phones and tablets etc.) but also in other products. Major car manufacturers have had to slow down or stop production due to shortages of the chips used in cars, vans etc. it is causing shortages and pushing up prices and probably will not improve hugely for a year or more as new fabs can not be brought online quickly.Mazintim said:Ah I never heard of the semiconductor shortage. Best case is you will get one at RRP and they probably will not be any cheaper for eighteen months to two years, at which point there might be a £50-100 discount, so if you want one you might as well buy one now (if you can find one).1 -
