Remortgage or bridging loan

  • I understand what you mean, it's the way we've moved house in the past. |however, this time we want to wait until an ideal house comes on the market, we don't want to sell and then be pressurised into purchasing a property which is not what we want. I  was just hoping someone on here might have a solution for us.
  • Find a property you want to buy and then sell your current property for significantly under value to get a quick sale.   You'd probably still be better off than if you did a bridging loan.

Remortgage doesn't work for reasons outlined by KS
  • That might well be the best way to go!

Move into a temporary home if necessary. Putting the bulk of your possessions into storage.
  • We have a similar situation except we are looking to downsize and have found a suitable property but it is being auctioned so we need to be in a position to complete if our bid is successful. This will not give us time to sell. Current property has £700k+ equity and thinking maximum we would bid is c£500k. We are also retired and have joint pensions of C£70k

Bridging loans are very expensive. It was not until i called various complanies to get figures, i was shocked.
