Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?
  • I just typed a long and rambling email on how I came onto MSE in Feb 07 with debts of 13k and how I was inspired to start my own company, paid off the debts in 2 months and then went on to pay off a further +40k off my mortgage. I ended the email saying what a life changing event finding MSE was, then I bottled it and deleted the email!

Lol, I am such a fraidycat!! :rotfl:

I couldn't possibly! I'd be embarrased for my friends/work mates to discover that I was in such debt and I'd also be embarrased for them to find out how much money I earn now.

There would also be the issue of hearing and seeing myself on telly. In my head I sound dead good - bit like Darth Vader, all deep and manly. When I hear myself on a Video I sound like mikey mouse! I also believe I look like Brad Pitt (we have magical mirrors in our house), but again on Video I always seem to look like Hermann Munster. Clearly, until video technology advances to the point where my beautiful voice and looks are correctly displayed, I cannot be seen on TV!!

Good luck if anyone does have the grit to go on the program - it'll be funny to see some of my DFW chums in the flesh (as it were).

(had to dash all the way to the training room on the ground floor of the office tower block to post this. For some reason I can read messages but I can't post any from my desktop! You can imagine how frustrating that is!!)

I think our mirror's must have come from the same place, I often look in to it think I look ok then someone takes a photo of me and well.... I look a real horror... and as for my voice on tape/answerphones I so don't talk like that.... I've had compliment's on my phone voice though perhaps I should talk like that all the time!!

It was embarassing for me having the Sunday Telegraph round no denying it was me with the secured loan but I thought what the hell if it stops one more person doing it then its worth it! Even worse when the photographer came chatting away about his previous work but at least I can say I had my photograph taken by a royalty photographer and I still looked like a dogs dinner!

I am very private with my day to day budgetting so would not really want my friends to know the lengths I go to to save money, but each to there own and its for the common good!
