Need help with anxiety

Get very anxious most of the time. Working at a short staffed supermarket plus the situation with the deliveries all over the place, empty shelves all add anxiety for me. Anxiety causes my asthma to become worse, then worried about my health, which all increases my anxiety all the time. A vicious circle that needs to be broken.
Where do I start? I am prepared paying for services.

I really don't think that creating lots of threads about covid is doing you any good at all. That really is a vicious circle.I'm not sure what services are available that you would pay for.Have you actually phoned in sick as per your other thread on another board? Are you a store manager? If you aren't, why are you worrying about deliveries or empty shelves? What are you doing to relax when you are not at work?Have you read any of the replies on the thread you started in the early hours of yesterday morning?

Not management level. Though had to supervisor work last week with not paid extra. Got many colleagues off on long term sickness (not Covid) plus colleagues leaving and being replaced by colleagues - not doing the hours missed and not being trained on new areas. So for example- lose 50 colleague hours skilled in all areas and replaced by 20 colleagues hours only doing half the stuff.
Worried about stock levels as customers hurl abuse at us. They think their world has ended as their usual cigs are out of stock. They should be more understanding that even the managers are powerless with deliveries now.

Have you spoken to your doctor?
You can only do a day's work in a day.
Anything that isn't done is the manager's problem.
Not yours.
Ditto customers who 'hurl abuse'.
Walk away.
Lack of stock is the manager's problem.
Not yours.

If you feel up to it, you might be able to take advantage of the situation to move to a better employer. Are there any other shops nearby that you could apply to? A big supermarket should be a lower-stress workplace0

I stress good because both "professions" are not legally regulated in the UK so literally anybody can set up in business claiming to be either (or both).
Such services are, in theory, available on the NHS but are in short supply and often have long waiting lists.
If you are going private make sure that the therapist is a qualified member of either the UKCP or the BACP. Both organisations have directories of qualified members and their areas of practice. Not cheap however, expect to pay £50 to £100 per hour.1 -
Instead of fretting about stock, maybe focus thoughts on I do at least get paid when expected.
I have this book, worth a read
