  • Thank you for that, at least I now know. Take care
  • Dont know if you got your answer but yes Newday did sell their loans portfolio to AssetLink Capital and they do contact with a welcome letter and an Aqua letter (ALC provided), advising of  your 1st repayment then reverting to your original direct debit until the loan is paid, check you bank it should be on your schedule of direct debits.
Missing information though, amount of loan outstanding and final payment date and/or how many months remaining.
The only way to find out is call them. They were approachable, after all they bought the loan and its in their interest, to tell you what you need to know.
Keep an eye on your credit report/file and how the finance world view it I dont know, especially if you have no defaults. My view is it should not I am not so sure!
The mere thought of a debt collection agency being involved is scary enough, but if you have a clean history including any payment freeze because of Covid and they do become bothersome there is support and help.
How do I know I contacted them because like others have/had loans with Aqua (Newday), I became aware because I checked my credit report and dealt with it immediately. Whatever you do I would recommend keeping all the documentation, and make a note of contact and comments.
Not sure if it helps or eases your mind, but I would give them a call Stay Safe and Well
