With Aviva , I do not think you can  open a new pension directly anymore, you have to go through a financial advisor.

You may be right, but the link I provided suggests otherwise ?

It is confusing , as you can see from the end of this thread , Dunstonh , says Aviva only accepts advised clients , but it seems not so for sure.

You can open an AVIVA pension without advice - they run one platform for advised clients and another for non-advised.  The instruction provided by P00hsticks are correct.  If you state that you have funds to transfer in (not through ORIGO options) then they should contact you to explain the process.
