I’ve had a notice of proposed allocation to the small claims track ,
1 this is now a defended claim
2 it appears this case is suitable for small claims track
I have offered what I can afford & my part admission was not accepted..
Do I except mediation? I don’t know if I’m coming or going and have quite a few debts piling up,I’m Single parent to 2 children one with special needs ,and trying to keep on top with my mortgage payments.& council tax first ,any advice will be much appreciated..thankyou

Opinions differ on mediation. If you're not prepared to shift your position then it's not appropriate.
Some people say that it looks good to go for it but I don't think the court takes a lot of notice so don't be afraid to just let the hearing deal with it.
In your situation it sounds like you need a strategy to deal with the whole situation. What about running it past someone like National Debtline or by posting a statement of affairs here using this calculator

If you're thinking of using a consolidation loan, you could borrow enough to pay off this claim and avoid a ccj.
But consolidation is not normally recommended and definitely not recommended if you're thinking of turning unsecured debt into secured debt by a secured loan or a further advance on the mortgage.
Definitely worth talking to National Debtline - they don't charge and do not sell products.0
