I applied for a job as a hotel housekeeper which was advertised at £10.20 per hour. I was offered the job and when they sent the job offer through for me to sign they were only offering £9.50. They are saying £10.20 is for fulltime and I'm part time. I was meant to do 32 hours. They at no point told me this verbally. I would of thought all workers doing the same job should be on the same pay. Is this legal?
Thank you.
Thank you.

workers do not have to be on the same pay but the reason of full time and part time is not a valid excuse.
Unless there are demonstrable reasons for the difference in terms of the actual work a full time and part time person should get the same per hour.
