IKANO approved my IKEA 0% loan application for wrong amount - Can anyone help?
I applied through IKEA online application form for an IKANO 0% interest loan of £975. I am certain I entered the amount correctly because it calculates the monthly payments and I noted this at the time.
I was referred- because the image of my ID wasn't clear- and after a week of chasing them, because the links to verify my ID weren't working- they told me that they were having system issues and to email my ID.
A few hours later, I was delighted to find my application approved, only to then be told that the amount approved was £99 over 3 months.
On the application page, this amount is the default setting on the slider.
Contacted them and was told 'Nothing they can do' and that I need to reapply for a second loan from a different email account.
I have raised a complaint and explained that this was irresponsible advice that may have negative impact on my credit profile- causing a second hard search and second loan application in same week, which may result in being declined.

I feel certain that this is a system error with their application form.
Has anyone experienced the same?
Any advice on what my options are here and what I should be asking them to do.

Either apply for it again or ditch the idea completely.
You'll be faffing around with this for months otherwise, with very little to gain and everything to lose.
Two hard searches in quick succession is not the end of the world.1 -
Your better off going to your local second hand shop and buying furniture, if that`s what your after, instead of the usual Ikea rubbish that has half the parts missing, and falls apart when you put a hot cup of coffee on it, narrow escape in my view.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
