Cracked skin on my feet

Thanks all! My foot is already a lot better today, as context I normally walk 5-7km's every morning @ 6am and as its hot at the mo and i'm on holiday i'm just wearing in the day espadrilles so my feet are very dry and the exercise has added to the issue. Fortunately there isn't any dead or hard skin it is/was just cracking but the O'Keefe's is doing the job, more so than the Vaseline I applied previously which normally helps but this weeks choice of footwear is countering against it. I did have a dab of Neutrogena hand cream too.
Hopefully I'll be able to get back up on the South Downs tomorrow morning, haven't been for a walk for the last two days as was too sore to do so, right now i'm just enjoying the glorious weather here in Brighton, first time in 15 years I've had a UK holiday were it hasn't rained and blown a gale every single day. Just knackered feet.....1 -

Sandals make dried skin on feet much worse in my experience. The O'keefes comes out in the spring time and then is used after every shower until October.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. I use CCS cream from Amazon. I apply every night just before I go to sleep and my feet are lovely and soft. It’s a large tube and lasts ages.1

I would also avoid espadrilles if you're talking about those with fabric insoles - too hard on the feet. Soft insoles are better.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Never go barefoot, wear shoes not sandals, 25% urea cream and if the cracks are really bad consider steristrips.0

My sister was prescribed Eucerin cream by a dermatologist and it worked. She gave me a bottle of it as she gets it on prescription from the doctor. I have bought another one since and it has cured our dry skin0

Saw a video on YT recently that said gnarly dry skin on feet is caused by fungus -- the same fungus that causes athletes foot and infected toenail.
Since Vicks Vaporub is one recommended cure for infected toenail, it seems a good contender for treating the dry skin, too. So last week used generic menthol and eucalyptus in petroleum jelly on affected areas.
After just that one application last week, things have improved noticeably. Will probably take some persistence to eliminate altogether, but perhaps worth a try, and generics are quite inexpensive from the usual suspects like supermarkets, Savers, Wilko's, etc.1 -
