The start of a long journey…

So over the last week I had bitten the bullet and started on my journey to hopefully clearing some debt through a DMP.
I am based in Scotland and have approx £26k on 3 credit cards and next directory.
My budget only allows £98 for SC to share amongst my creditors
I am nervous that this is too low to be accepted but I couldn’t stretch any further
I will be cancelling my direct debits tomorrow and sending the letters to advise them I am seeking help.
Stepchange were not wanting to advise in so many words how long to take to send my document back but I got the impressions she was advising me to wait a few weeks.
my main concern is the letters and phone calls but mostly if an actual sheriff officer will call?
does anybody have any experience with these specific lenders.
I hope to update as I go along, I know it has to get harder before it gets easier.
fingers crossed

You're in the diary part of this bit of the forum. If you post on the main debt free wannabe page you may get more/better advice. Good luck.0
