I posted this a short while ago but didnt provide enough info, ive tried replying back on the thread but its not allowing me to. I am a sia nights cctv operator, i have just been informed that the landlords of the site want to stop night security therefore I will be made redundant on the 1st october. I have no idea what the redundancy payment is. I have googled it but it doesn’t make sense to me.. i am over the age of 22 and have been working here for over 2 years.. 2 years and 5 months to be specific. so will i be getting one weeks wage a month? Or is that weekly and for how long.. im very confused

https://www.gov.uk/redundancy-your-rights/redundancy-payDepending on your actual age you will get 2 or 3 weeks redundancy pay, as it's 1 or 1.5 weeks pay for each full year you worked for them.Plus outstanding holiday pro rata to the holiday year start to redundancy end date.Usually it's all paid in one go eg final pay packet.
The redundancy section is the next sub-forum down.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
So, even with the whole of this month (July) and up to 1 October, you will still have worked there fewer than 3 years.
You do not say how much older than 22 you are: will you have been at least 22 (and under 41) for all of the two years prior to 1 October?
You need to know the average weekly pay (calculated over the 12 weeks immediately prior to your receiving your redundancy notice). If that is £544 or less then that is the amount used in calculating how many weeks pay you would receive. (It is not a number of weeks wage a month: it is a single sum.)
If all your time with the company you have been over 22 then you would be entitled to statutory redundancy pay of 2 weeks.
Example - your average weekly pay is £500, you've worked there 2 years, you are due £1,000.
