How to report a Facebook scammer?

I've had a friend's request from someone I don't know, who I'm nearly sure has set up a fake account with an Anglicised name and picture. I have blocked him (I think this is the second time for the same person), so I'm safe. But I want to report him to Facebook, to protect others. I have reported his profile, but they say it's fine, which makes sense because there's hardly anything there. But I can't find a way to report a suspicious friend's request. Any ideas?

I had 3 today which is a record, just blocked and reported as fake account.  Not sure there was anything else I could do.

Unfortunately, Facebook doesn't seem to remove or discipline the accounts/images/content that needs to be, but will remove comments or stop you liking and sharing certain things for violating their terms and conditions, even if you clearly haven't.
The trouble is as well, it can fall under different report categories, like fake name, pretending to be someone else and fake account.

All you can do is:
Go to the incriminating profile, click the three dots, click Find support or report profile, choose the best option to report them and block (blocking is optional)
If lots of people report the same account, then maybe they will look into it better, you can also forward the profile onto the company they are impersonating, as they can report them for pretending to be their own company or organisation and prove who they are, to get the other account removed.

If a Facebook report comes back that it isn't against the rules, you can usually contest it and escalate the issue.

If you go to Help and Support, then Support inbox, and select, reports about others, it will also show you what you have reported and the outcome...

Although you may get 'We reviewed the profile you reported and found that it doesn't go against any of our Community Standards.' 
Facebook have been pretty good at removing some content I've reported but this is the standard response I get if I report a clearly fake company page.
